Students build skills in fingering, form, and proper bow technique, while learning the fundamentals of music theory including reading music. Students will work individually and collaboratively on exercises and song work building rhythm, timing, concentration, comprehension and coordination. This is an in-person class.

A beginning acting class that gives students a chance to use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create characters and tell stories. Students work on pantomime, expressing emotion, and creating dialogue while becoming more comfortable and confident in front of others.
( Grades 4 - 7 )
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Students learn how to read as well as play notes and chords. Students build rhythm, timing, coordination, memory and finger strength through a variety of music exercises and through playing classic and contemporary songs.

We will explore Japanese contemporary drawing styles to create anime characters of our own vision and design. Students will also learn basic animation techniques. Starting with basic drawing techniques, children will learn about and experience various mixed media and create their own characters and their own comic books.

Private Lessons are available in 24-week sessions from October to May. Lessons are scheduled individually by Institute staff. Private lessons are not covered for financial aid.
A limited number of lessons are available in 12-week session from February to May.

Discover and explore the vibrant rhythms of West Africa in this fun and communal, hands-on drum class. You’ll learn basic techniques and call-and-response patterns, with the djembe, as you practice traditional songs in a shared group drumming experience. This is an in-person only class.

An improvisational acting class that gives students a chance to use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create characters and tell stories. Students work on pantomime, expressing emotion, exploring new topics socially and emotionally and creating dialogue while becoming more comfortable and confident in front of others.
( Grades K - 3 )
Student will learn movement skills, discipline, self-control, practical karate skills and self-defense in a format that is both enjoyable and beneficial for children.
( Grades 3 - 5 )
Students are introduced to various musical instruments and song including learning music notes and scales, music values and ear training while having fun exploring instruments, singing songs and participating in a wide range of fun activities.
Students will learn about the woodwind instrument, the Recorder, while also learning songs and exploring other musical instruments in cooperative and participatory activities.
There will be a $10 fee applied for the student's own Recorder to bring home and use.
Students practice vocal technique including proper breathing, support and control to improve the quality and strength of their singing voices. The class in enhanced by incorporating student centered creative projects to build to a final performance.
We will explore drawing styles to create characters and cartooning of their own vision and design. Students will also learn basic animation techniques. Starting with basic drawing techniques, children will learn about and experience various mixed media and create their own characters.

Learning the aspects of movie making.
Students will learn how to be creative through art with various projects through the 12 or 24 weeks, using many creative mediums.

Students learn the fundamental arms and feet positions, the proper terminology and the essential movements of ballet. Poise, balance, posture are also developed while students improve their coordination and grow confident as dancers.
